Am 24. Juni startete der Workshop »Die Mauer muss weg« | »Tear down this wall« . Im Rahmen des von der Bundesstiftung für die Aufarbeitung der SED-Diktatur geförderten Projektes »Jugend erinnert« entsteht auf dem Gelände des Konvikts in einem gemeinsamen Prozess ein Wandbild.

Das Wandbild wird der Öffentlichkeit am Mittwoch, dem 1. Juli 2026, um 14.30 Uhr vorgestellt. Der ehemalige Konviktuale Prof. John P. Burgess, der als us-amerikanischer Austauschstudent in den 1980er Jahren für ein Jahr in Ost-Berlin studierte, wird zu der Eröffnung als Ehrengast erwartet.

On June 24, the workshop “Die Mauer muss weg” | “Tear down this wall” began. As part of the “Jugend erinnert” project, funded by the Federal Foundation for the Reappraisal of the SED Dictatorship, a mural is being created on the grounds of the Konvikt through a collaborative process. The mural is now being unveiled to the public. Former Konvikt student Prof. John P. Burgess, who studied in East Berlin for a year as an US-American exchange student in the 1980s, is expected to attend the opening as a guest of honor.
