Pfarrer Volker Jastrzembski, Ephorus | Head of the Konvikt

Our house

Theologisches Konvikt is open to students of all faculties and faiths. It is based on a Christian view of humanity. This is expressed in our core values: acceptance, kindness, patience, inclusion, sustainability, charity and solidarity.

It is important to us to create structures that are sensitive to discrimination and to make the Konvikt a place where queer people and BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) as well as other marginalized groups feel comfortable. To this end, we have formed an awareness team that supports, advises and trains the residents.

Our community is  based on our rules of living together. As a community, we reject all forms of violence, boundary violations and discrimination, such as ableism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, queerophobia, racism, sexism and similar attitudes.

Theologisches Konvikt expects residents to be willing to live in community, to be particularly committed to the house and to be open to theological issues and ecumenical encounters.

The diverse house life is organized in the association “Gemeinschaft des Theologischen Konvikts Berlin e.V.”. Membership of the association is therefore a prerequisite for the conclusion of a tenancy agreement.

You are welcome to add information about social commitment, cultural interests, etc. or tell us what else we need to consider in your application.
